Winfield Padgett
Principal, Padgett Performance Group
Winfield Padgett has been a co-owner and chairman in a third generation family business as well as an active board member and officer of a number of civic, trade, sports, charitable and other not-for-profit organizations and associations, Win founded Padgett Performance Group to help other organizations address one simple question ... Why do so many intelligent, well-qualified and energetic individuals seem to be unhappy or otherwise unfulfilled in their jobs?
The accuracy and power of the assessment tool used by Padgett Performance Group as well as its versatility in addressing both development and selection issues convinced Win that the search was over. Working with Jim Povec and Frank Federer, both having extensive experience in coaching and corporate problem-solving at the highest levels, Win has helped broaden the offering of Padgett Performance Group to help companies not only with hiring, selection and development but also with more complex problems involving team dynamics, post-merger integration and succession planning, to name a few.
A graduate of Princeton University, Win served three years on active duty as a communications and operations officer aboard two US Navy destroyers during the Vietnam conflict. Returning to Dallas, he spent a year pursuing an MBA degree at Southern Methodist University. His studies were interrupted a few units shy of graduation to help with the family business. Learning the business from the ground up in every phase of production and sales, Win eventually became vice president, sales and finally Chairman in 1987 and continues in that role today. He is also Principal with Padgett Performance Group, Ltd., and he remains active in a variety of civic roles in Dallas as well as on the national level where he has served as officer and board member with such groups as the Printing Industries of America and The United States Golf Association.
